The Basel School of Design was very influential among the world of design. It's graduates helped spread the international style of other educational institutions around the world. The evolution of design over this period was based on lessons learned from earlier designers such as Moholy. During the Golden Age of Logos came the understanding of the role of familiarity in translating ideas into visual communication. Good design was believed to be good business, this brought about the importance of branding. The Media Revolution upped the competition for viewership with more interesting advertisements and visuals. This brought a new approach to the lackluster advertising exhibited in the 40's and 50's.
